First Quilt Pattern !

I am excited to announce that I am releasing my very first design at the Melbourne Craft & Quilt Fair next week, starting 26th July - 29th July.

Scandinavian Christmas BOM

Today I started stitching our sample for  Scandinavian Christmas BOM again by Lynette Anderson. As you might guess I just love Lynette's design, she is an amazing lady and has been someone I admire for a long time. I remember being so excited the first time I met her.

We are using Lynette's fabric range Scandinavian Christmas fabric range. I could not resist showing you what I have done of the first block today.

Hope you like it ! I have fallen in love with the cuuuuuute Reindeer's. Strange really as I am not much of a Christmas girl.

Stitched By Me BOM sample

Terry & I have been busy stitching our shop BOM sample of Stitched By Me by Lynette Anderson. So I thought I would share some photo's for you to see.

I just love to stitch. I find it very soothing as I watch my stitches covering the stitching lines of a beautiful stitchery.

 My favourite threads are variegated, it is fun watching were the change of colour takes place on the design.
I have recently finished two Brandy Gully designs as shop samples. I so enjoyed stitching this one below.

July was my 50th Birthday

 I am not someone who gets excited about a pending birthday. In July I turned 50 ! I do not feel that old I have to tell you.
I had the most wonderful day, my family, friends and customers made it a birthday to remember.

I arrived at work to find a gift of Champers and Champagne glasses for Terry and I ( Terry turned 50 in June),

I was taken for a frothy coffee and chat by my friend Jen at morning tea time and spoilt with a wonderful gift.

The girls who come for Sit & Sew gave me a gift of chocolates and brought a birthday cake.

The  night Sew & Chat girls spoilt me with a surprise party and a charm for my Pandora bracelet.

Here is photo of us. We had so much fun !!!
Terry and my daughter Alynda and son Peter spoilt me by adding to my Pandora "stash" !!! how lucky was I  ??.

 What a brilliant day :)

Update

It would seem I lead a way to busy life to be a true blogger ! LOL
Last week I flew to Brissy and spent the week with a friend. We sat and chatted and stitched most of the day's away. I was able to finish several stitcheries that need to be made into the finished projects. I found time to finish making this darling pincushion today. 

I was lucky enough to go with my friend to see the Kaffe Fassett lecture. It was amazing ! such a inspirational talk on colour and shape. I would recommend his lecture if you want to be inspired !!!!
I can not wait for him to arrive here in Adelaide. Our shop is running both the lecture and his workshop :-) and customers are getting very excited.

Welcome

Well I thought it time to have a go at this blogging ! So wish me luck !
I have an addiction for everything that is patchwork & quilting. I started my addiction in 1993 while my 3 children were young and we lived in Sydney.
We moved here to beautiful Adelaide in 1996. Adelaide is such a beautiful and friendly place to live.
I joined the Quilters Guild of SA Inc around 10 years ago. I have been a Executive committee member and a Exhibition committee member. I found that I have learnt a lot from theses committees, as well as making some wonderful friends. Quilters make the best friends a girl could want !
My Hubby Terry started quilting around 7 years ago. I taught him everything he knows !!! hehe
I wish :-).
In 2007 we bought our local and favourite patchwork shop Patchwork By Sea. Terry has joined me in the business and we now live busy, fulfilled & happy lives.
I would love to hear about projects you are working on , and when I learn how I will share photos of the stitching I get up to, stitcheries are my current passion !
